Job Requirements of Computer Specialist:
Skills and Abilities

Set up equipment for employees use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems or appropriate software.

Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems and replace defective components following design or installation specifications when necessary.

Install, configure, control and manage local area networks (LAN), WIFI wireless networks and wide area networks (WAN).

Knowledge of Windows operating systems, network security and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of Point of Sale systems preferred.
- Ability to communicate on technical issues with individuals with varying degrees of computer familiarity
- Professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
Qualifications

2 years of computer studies or equivalent experience

Valid License with acceptable driving record for past three years

Position Purpose
Computer Systems Specialists repair defective computer hardware, configure, maintain and implement solutions to network issues, system administration problems and software application errors. Specialists assist users, troubleshoot systems and implement network security protocols.
