Job Requirements of Bartender - Magic Saloon:
Essential Functions
- Make drinks to spec recipe, and answer guest questions accurately and politely.
- Make proficient sales transactions using the point-of-sale system.
Handle cash and other forms of payment.
Maintain proper cash drawer balance.
- Check the identification of guests who appear under 30 years old to verify the age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
- A key responsibility of the Bartender is to demonstrate responsible alcohol service.
This includes taking steps to limit problems and liability.
- Maintain a clean and organized bare area.
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand and walk during the entire shift.
- Ability to reach, bend, squat, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, push as necessary to complete tasks.
- Ability to lift, lower and carry supplies, tubs, and cases that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.

Other Requirements
- Valid TBAC certification.
- Four years experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar preferred.

Position Purpose
The Bartender ensures all guests are provided with an authentic magical experience. It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before the leave the bar by providing prompt and friendly service, describing and assisting them in making beverage selections. Prepare and process orders and payments on the register. As the Magic Saloon Bartender, you assume the role of your guide, communicator, showman, decision-maker, memorabilia curator, and mixologist.
