Job Requirements of Retail Store Manager Trainee (Full Time) Abeula's:
Essential Functions
- Assist the Store Manager with supervising the management team and their employees in achieving goals; plan and organize workloads and staff assignments/schedules to ensure the most effective use of staff.
- Assist in opening and closing the store, to include opening procedures, ensuring everything is prepared for the day, and distributing cash banks.
- Learn how to work with the store budget numbers, daily sales, and sales quotas. Work with the store Manager in preparing the store’s budget and adhering to the final budget.
- Learn how to direct the preparation and taking of store inventory. Monitor merchandise inventory for acceptable levels
- Stock merchandise, assist customers, operate registers, and answer the phone to have adequate floor coverage.
Other Requirements
- High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products/services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Ability to occasionally lift, lower, and carry packages that typically weigh 25-40 pounds and may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for the past three years
Qualifications
- High school graduate equivalent
- Minimum of four years retail sales experience with two years of retail supervisory experience.

Job Summary
This position receives training and performs duties in the practical and logistical aspects of the daily store operations. Learn staff job functions, management viewpoints, and company policies/practices that affect the running of a retail store.
