Position Purpose

The Line Cook prepares and cooks food, maintains cleanliness, and ensures compliance with food safety regulations. Even though you may not contact guests directly, your responsibilities are critical to the Café’s success. At KWCS, you will be considered an all-around culinary employee and will learn the following positions: Prep Cook, Line Cook, Receiver, and Inside/Outside Expo.

Job Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Receiving and ordering products.
    Making prep recipes and menu products to specifications.
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating of prepped items for the line.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side duties such as setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep, line, expo stations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, line, expo, dish room, and back dock.
  • Clean dishes and operate a dish machine.
    Practice safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A food handling certification program is required to be completed before working in the kitchen.

Other Requirements

  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certification.
  • Have a passion for helping people and making their Ke West experience a memorable one.

Successful candidates must pass a background search.
