Job Requirements of Head Bartender:
Essential Requirements
- Ensure proper rotation of inventory and proper documentation of inventory reporting, as well as, assisting in maintaining the supply and security of inventory supplies.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all spirits/mixers and have knowledge of Prohibition Era spirits and the history of various drink ingredients and mixing methods.
Ability to stand and walk during the entire shift, as well as, reach, bend, squat, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, push as necessary to complete tasks.
Ability to lift, lower and carry supplies, tubs, and cases that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
varying distances.Ability to traverse all areas of the company’s operations and public areas, including ascend and descend stairs.
Other Requirements
- Four years experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar.
- Two years experience in supervising employees
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for past three years.
Valid Bar Card.
Valid Bar Smart certification.
Successful candidate must pass a background search

Position Purpose
The Head Bartender assists the Bar Manager in overseeing the practical and logistical aspects of the daily bar operation, such as ensuring all guests and museum visitors are provided with an authentic Prohibition speakeasy experience, that the bartenders are staying in character of a speakeasy era bartender at all times, providing prompt and friendly service, and describing the speakeasy era experience. This position requires a good sense of responsibility to lead others with the ability to motivate staff and promote a harmonious workplace
