Job Requirements:

Job Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to apply knowledge in multiple areas of vehicle body repair and materials.
  • Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Fabricate, paint, assemble or disassemble vehicles using hand or power tools.
  • Knowledge of fiberglass repair techniques and how to properly prep surfaces for repairs.
  • Knowledge of how to properly mix resin and hardener according to specification and well as application to repair area.
  • Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the radio while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
  • Shall be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Shall be able to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow CASTmembers and the general public.
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces and getting into awkward positions that may or may not be well lighted, lift, lower and carry items that typically weigh 25 – 50 pounds without assistance and 75 pounds with assistance, varying distances and tolerate a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an automotive training program.
  • Vocational or technical school preferred.
  • 2 years of body and paint experience.
  • Must supply own hand tools and toolboxes. Tools must meet or exceed minimum tool list
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
  • Must have a Chest X-ray upon employment and annually per OSHA standards.

Successful candidate must pass a drug test and a background search
