Job Requirements of White Glove Tour Driver:
Essential Functions
- Give a respectful, enlightening, behind-the-scenes tour in the 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Limousine.
- Complete the White Glove tour by driving the 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Limousine on the designated route in a safe, competent manner. Treat the Limousine with respect, following all the Limousine’s special instructions and safety procedures.
- Study and rehearse the script to recite it in each area visited on the tour.
- Must have exceptional knowledge of the Truman’s time in Key West and the details and features of the limo, with the ability to articulate that knowledge in an engaging manner.
- Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness such as dusting and removing litter.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and in groups over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
- Ability to learn route and memorize historical details provided in a scripted story and relay scripted story in an entertaining manner, in front of an audience.
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Must pass a pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Clean driving record for the past three years
- Strong interest in history is preferred
- Prior performance or interpretation experience preferred
Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search

The person in this position must have good driving skills, a love for history, a good sense of fun, and a desire to entertain. The story of the Little White House is an integral part of America’s history, and it is the White Glove Tour Driver’s job to bring the Truman Era to life in a respectful, accurate, and engaging way. The person in this position must make our guests feel welcome and glad they have chosen our company to entertain them.
