Job Requirements of STAR Shuttle Driver:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Our ideal Shuttle Drivers have a passion for customer service and being an ambassador of good will for our city.
- A Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) is required - we hire for personality.
- Drivers must be able to drive a shuttle vehicle, on busy public streets in a safe, competent manner while transporting guests around the city.
- Must be able to board and exit the shuttle and assist guests with boarding and exiting the shuttle.
- Must pass annual Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) checks as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Ability to learn and memorize shuttle route.
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow employees, the general public, law enforcement and emergency personnel.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and tolerate a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass a DOT physical upon employment.
- Must have a valid CDL Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement and an acceptable and verifiable driving record of at least three years.
Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search

Have fun driving the NEW downtown connector municipal shuttle. Historic Tours of America has been contracted by the City of St. Augustine to provide staff and service for the all NEW downtown city shuttle.
*This is NOT a City of St. Augustine/Government position
This is a non spieling role. Must have a good sense of fun, desire for customer service and hospitality, as well as excellent driving skills as you drive a shuttle on the streets of downtown St. Augustine!
- CDL with Passenger Endorsement Required
- $2000 Hiring Bonus ($1000 pd after 90 day anniversary, $1000 pd after 6 month anniversary) *must meet attendance requirements
- $18.00/hr
- Holiday Pay (Christmas & Thanksgiving)
- Full time and part time positions may be available
- Paid sick leave (5 days)
- 2 weeks paid vacation for Full Time
