Recruiter

The Recruiter performs job duties ranging from writing job postings, phone screening applicants, and preparing and processing personnel data and records. This position is a positive role model and ambassador for Tropical Shell and Gifts. The Recruiter is the first person the applicant comes in contact with; the applicant’s first impression should be that our company has integrity, that we are professionals, and Tropical Shell and Gifts is a fun place to work.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Review position’s need list daily. Consult with HR/Office Manager daily.
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job description for writing job postings. Post open positions on our recruiting software.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements on our recruiting software and may be asked to post jobs in other advertising media and job boards, and with community/government organizations. Ask applicants to apply on our website.
  • Review job boards hourly, such as Indeed, contact applicants daily, and review employment applications to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Conduct phone screens, ensuring the applicant is available for scheduled hours of the positions and is satisfied with the wage being offered. Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, and working conditions. Select qualified job applicants. Make appointments for applicants to interview with manager or HR designee. Follow up with interviewer for resolution and interview notes.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or previous experience in recruiting, human resource office or business administration preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook.
