Manager Trainee - Arlington

Position Summary

This position receives and performs duties in several departments such as Trolley Tours Operations and Sales. Learn line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of the business. Gain experience and knowledge required for promotion into a Leadager position at your current location or one of our other locations.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Become knowledgeable of company's philosophy, products, and services.
  • While assisting the Head Conductor, Depot Sales Manager, and Groups/Vendor Managers, learn such things as making and adjusting a schedule for both personnel and the tour loop, drive sales to meet goals, conduct ride-a-long evaluations, mentoring, counseling, and motivating employees, and how to respond to employee complaints.
  • As assigned, participate in "Manager on Duty" functions, opening procedures, ensure everything is ready for leaving at the ends of the day, cash banks have been returned, and all buildings are locked, and alarms have been set.
  • As assigned, spend time with different departments to learn each duty.
  • Ability to read, write and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
  • Ability to work in excess of standard 40 hours and to be available during evenings, weekends, non-working hours and holidays when necessary.
  • When necessary, drive in a safe, competent manner various types of passenger motor vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Related college degree preferred.
  • Travel and relocation will be necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
  • Will provide training to acquire a Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement.
  • Must pass a DOT physical upon employment.
