Job Requirements of Operations Manager - Truman Little White House:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination or people and resources
- Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work of assigned personnel; ability to provide leadership, training, counsel, motivation, disciplining staff, processing grievances and constructive performance reviews to staff, securing their commitment to the department and company goals
- Proficiency in systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, including reaching and retrieving information from the internet
- Ability to do a presentation in front of an audience according to script and stage directions, as well as improvising
- Ability to perform on-your-feet routine physical activity
- Ability to learn and memorize scripted materials and historical details
- Ability to give a scripted tour in the time allowed
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow CASTmembers and the general public
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 25-40 pounds
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Business or equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of the Truman Era administration is preferred
- Valid Florida Driver’s License preferred with acceptable driving record for the past three years
- Successful candidate must submit to a pre-employment background search

Operations Manager - Truman Little White House

Position Summary
The LWH Operation Manager will oversee the practical and logistical aspects of the Little White House Museum® daily operation. The ability to lead, direct, motivate employees and increase sales is required. This position shares the responsibilities to promote the Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation and its mission to share the history of the American Presidency and preserve the Truman Little White House as Florida’s only Presidential Museum.
